Why ColdFusion MX?
ColdFusion MX® is a rapid development platform for building dynamic Web based application systems and database driven Web Sites, providing an entire framework for working with Databases, Web Services and AJAX, among other leading technologies. With ColdFusion MX the complexities of writing traditional code in higher level languages like .NET and Java are abstracted and simplified, resulting in solutions that are less expensive to maintain and easier to enhance over the long run. Although ColdFusion MX is significantly simpler than most of the competing technologies, it is every bit as robust and powerful. ColdFusion MX powered servers are more than capable of sustaining some of the largest and most visited Web Sites on the Internet.
For the last 3 years, Interprogram, Inc. has been involved in several large projects handling migrations from Adobe ColdFusion based platforms to Microsoft ASP C# .NET. The reason for the migrations was that experienced ColdFusion talent was difficult to acquire & retain, prompting our larger clients to switch to a more widely used technology, such as ASP .NET. This does not mean that ASP .NET is technologically better than ColdFusion; sadly, however there are significantly fewer ColdFusion developers than there are ASP .NET which does have implications when dealing with large scale enterprise applications.
If your company is in the process of migrating from a ColdFusion based platform to Microsoft ASP C#. NET, contact us and we can assess an efficient transitional plan.
We at Interprogram, Inc., have been using ColdFusion technology since 1997, starting with Version 3.0, all the way up to the latest Adobe ColdFusion® MX 8.1 Server, released earlier this year. Interprogram’s core engineers are also among the first to be certified in the technology from the founding company, Allaire, before their merger with Macromedia, and later, Adobe Systems.
We have worked extensively in applications development with industry leaders such as: BridalGuide, Century National Insurance, MitsubishiCars and Event411 among others, utilizing ColdFusion technology for maintaining their online presence.
With more than a decade of experience with ColdFusion, we are certain that no matter how big or small the size of your ColdFusion project, we can help you realize your plan.
